if you’re looking to research and read more about the occupation, i just started over reading Decolonizing Israel, Liberating Palestine by Jeff Halper. he’s head of the israeli committee against house demolition, which rebuilds palestinian homes, and has been arrested a bunch of times for protesting the demolition of houses and other acts of resistance such as sailing into gaza with the freedom flotilla to break the seige, etc. he is identified in the foreword as a “colonizer who refuses” (an interesting term) and it just seems pretty solid in defining zionism for what it is, exposing it’s true history, and proposing a 10-point program for dismantling it. even if you end up not agreeing with the method (i haven’t gotten that far yet myself) a review by awad abdelfattah (coordinator of the one democratic state campaign) says it’s “the most serious contribution yet in drawing a political path to the project of liberating palestine” and i’m eager to read more of it.
Crazy that a lot of cis people’s idea of what a “sex change” means is (or at least was, not sure how common it is anymore) just one surgery that rearranges everything at once. And honestly it would kind of rule if it worked like that. Put me in the sex change chamber
